The National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA) offers the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam or PACE for those eligible and interested in becoming a Registered Paralegal. Those interested and otherwise eligible to take the PACE may not have been convicted of a felony nor be under suspension, termination or revocation of a certificate, registration or license by any entity. THERE IS NO CURRENT REQUIREMENT FOR PARALEGALS TO BE CERTIFIED, REGISTERED OR LICENSED IN ANY JURISDICTION IN THE UNITED STATES.
